Highlights half head vs full head

We often get questions about what we mean when we say half head highlights vs full head highlights. Half head highlights means we're highlighting the top of your head and crown. The hair under the crown and behind your ears are not highlighted. This is perfect if you often wear your hair down, the hair getting highlighted naturally covers the hair that isn't touched. This also makes it perfect for medium to long hair.

If you often put your hair up or have layers, full head highlights is a better fit. This will take more time and more product.

Balayage/Foilayage

Balayage means to paint. This is a freehand technique where we paint ccolor on the lengths of the hair to lighten it in a way that will give a softer and more natural look. This will give you more of a sunkissed look, and more depth at your roots compared to normal hightlights. This is good for less maintenance.

If you have your entire hair bleached and you're tired of the extremely visible regrowth, there's an option to do a reverse balayage instead of an all over color. This way you can still stay light in the lengths and get some dimension in the rest of the hair. We do this by applying a color that matches your regrowth and blend it into the already light hair.

Foilayage comes from balayage. The difference between these two techniques is that we use foils during a foilayage to lighten the hair. this results in the highlights turning a brighter shade of blonde and gives the hair more contrast and dimension than a classic balayage. Your regrowth from these services will be less noticable than normal highlights. 

Regrowth vs root to ends

A regrowth is when the hair has grown out since the last time you highlighted or colored the hair. If you only need to highlights up to 4 cm of your hair we count this as a regrowth. However if you are coloring or bleaching your regrowth, the max length should be up to 2 cm..

Longer regrowth than mentioned above might need more time and product, and can therefore result in a higher cost. Highlights and color from root to ends means the entire lenght of the hair. In contrast to just the regrowth.
